Good to Know

Randy & Christina (brother-in-law and sister-in-law) flew in Wednesday night for some family fun times. We've already seen them three times this year, which is more than we usually see them in the whole year. I'm loving these cheap flights they are getting through Allegiant!

Thursday morning, Christina and I headed off for a little girl time and the guys hung out at the parents and played ping pong. We got back to the house around 1, had some lunch and drank some hard cider. Our plan for that afternoon was to go to Lagunitas for their weekday 3 P.M. tasting tour. It was such a blast! They don't just give you a couple one ounce pours, they go all out with 5 four ounce pours! All that for free!!!! The percentages range from 6.2% to 9.8%. Needless to say, we were all feeling good after the FREE tasting tour. During the tour, Christina kept saying "good to know", so it kind of became a running joke for the weekend. Randy started making fun of her, so it turned into "well, it is good to know. I'm just sayin..." After the tour, we headed down to the patio for some live music and more tasting. We met a couple vacationing from New York on the tour and they came to sit with us on the patio. We all had a blast!

After Lagunitas, (we may have stayed there until almost 8 P.M.) we headed back to our house for a little Rock Band session. Christina and I like to do crazy makeup and dress up a little fun to play rock band. Might as well really feel like a rockstar, right?!

What a great way to start off our fun-filled weekend!

To be continued...

I'm a bad blogger...

Well hello there, it's been awhile! I have been avoiding the computer for almost two weeks now, but I'm back! I've missed the blog world and all my fabulous blogger friends. I've got a lot of catching up to do.

This past weekend was a good one! Friday, our friends Dan and Katrina and their two adorable kids Kaiden and McKenna came over for a bbq and some rock band. If you've never seen an 18 month old and a 3 year old play rock band, you're missing out.
I got this little gem in the mail from the lovely Morgan at Momma to Binks & Bubble. Thanks Morgan, it was the perfect little bit of sunshine to brighten my day! I absolutely love it!

Saturday, I went shopping and went to lunch with my MIL. Then, I met Lacey for coffee. We have a bad habit of sitting at the coffee shop so long that we end up getting two coffees. Lacey went up to order our  second iced coffees and the cashier told her they ran out of coffee. Seriously, a coffee shop ran out of coffee?!?  Saturday night, Jorge and Lacey came over for drinks, desserts and a movie. We watched The Devil Inside, it was ridiculously stupid!
We also watched this video about 5 times. Gotta love Jenna Marbles. "Sir Mix A Lot taught me that I can only be 36-24-36 if I'm 5'3"

Sunday, we went to the beach with Jorge and Lacey. It was a GORGEOUS day!

It was a perfect summer weekend. I hope this summer is full of bbq's, beach days, water parks, dog walks, floating the river and so much more! I LOVE summer!!!

Weekend in Pictures

Is it really Monday again? This weekend went by WAY too fast, but it always does when Randy and Christina are here. The weekend was full of yummy food, ping pong, boating in the bay, shopping and rock band.

I seriously have the best in-laws in the world. Christina and I were talking on the phone today about how we are all more like best friends than in-laws. I know a lot of people cringe when they think about having to hang out with their in-laws, I am so glad I'm not one of those people. I just wish we could all live closer or at least see each other more than a couple of times a year. Since we don't see each other very often, we have to cram in tons of fun times into just a few days.

Some examples of our interesting conversations:

Randy: "Just pretend you're a guy"
Me: "Ok, I have a penis"

Randy (using Christina's legs as bongos): "This would sound a lot cooler if your legs were bongos. Let's get you some bongo legs"

Randy (telling Fasha (father-in-law) while driving): Stop!
Me: "Collaborate and Listen"
Randy: "Ice is back with my brand new invention"
Me: "Something grabs a hold of me tightly"
This goes on with us rapping the whole first verse of Ice Ice Baby

My mom captioned this "We just saw a naked ugly guy"
